The way the media center is organized is very easy to understand once you get the basics down. This PowerPoint is a lesson on what each classification contains.
2. Dewey Decimal Shelf Markers
This is another way to teach about the Dewey Decimal System. The media center should have everything clearly marked and easy to understand for everyone who uses the media center. These are made to print out and attach to the shelves in the media center
3. Orientation PowerPoint
This PowerPoint can be set to run on a computer so that someone coming into the media center can orient themselves to where everything is located.
4. Wikispaces
This is a six minute lesson on how to set up a wiki.
5. Digital Story
A Digital Story is a fun way to let students share their work in a different format.

A book talk can help increase circulation and get kids coming into the media center.
